The third quarter of 2021 saw notable trends in the performance of the top five business apps on the iOS platform in the Dominican Republic. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

WhatsApp Business maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, starting with around 4.4K downloads and peaking at approximately 5K in early August. The app's weekly active users exhibited a steady increase, rising from about 88.8K at the beginning of July to nearly 97K by the end of September.

Zoom Workplace experienced fluctuations in downloads, starting at 3.9K in late June, dipping to about 2.6K in mid-August, and then reaching a quarterly high of 6.2K in mid-September. Active users saw a gradual increase over the quarter, beginning at around 35.2K and ending at approximately 40.4K.

Google Meet (original) had a varied download pattern, beginning with around 2.5K downloads in late June, dipping to 1.3K in mid-August, and then peaking at 4.8K in mid-September. The app's active user base also grew, starting from 37.2K and reaching up to 44.8K in the same period.

Microsoft Teams displayed a steady download trend, beginning at around 1.4K downloads and peaking at approximately 3K in mid-September. The app's weekly active users showed consistent growth, starting at 31.8K and rising to 40.2K by the end of the quarter.

ScanGuru: Document PDF Scanner showed a varied revenue stream, starting at around $1K in late June and peaking at approximately $1.2K in late August. Downloads fluctuated, beginning at 1.6K, peaking at 1.6K again in late August, and ending the quarter at 1.1K. Active users saw a peak of 2.1K in late August before settling at around 1.7K by the end of September.
